Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1 January 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Hanyu Peixun B.V. (“Hanyu Peixun”, “we”) and students who enrol in our language courses or use our website. By enrolling in a course or submitting an enquiry through our website, you agree to these terms. Dutch law applies.
1. About us
Hanyu Peixun B.V. is registered in the Netherlands. Our registered address is Parklaan 1A, 9675 AB Winschoten. Contact: [email protected] / +31 597 433 365.
2. Courses and enrolment
We offer group evening classes, individual lessons, online sessions, and business Mandarin courses. Specific course details, schedules and prices are communicated at the time of enrolment. Enrolment is confirmed when we send a written confirmation by email. We reserve the right to refuse enrolment at our discretion, for example if a course is fully booked or if we cannot accommodate a student’s level.
Minimum age for enrolment is 18 years. Courses are taught in Dutch and/or English as appropriate for the group.
3. Prices and payment
Current prices are listed on our Services page. Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is due before the start of a course block, or per lesson as agreed at enrolment. We reserve the right to change prices; changes apply to new enrolments and new course blocks, not to sessions already invoiced.
4. Cancellation by the student
Individual lesson cancellations: you may cancel a scheduled individual or online lesson without charge if you give at least 24 hours’ notice before the lesson start time. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are charged in full.
Group course withdrawal: if you withdraw from a group course before it starts, you receive a full refund minus any administration costs already incurred. If you withdraw after a group course has started, no refund is given for lessons already delivered. We do not offer partial refunds for missed lessons within a course block.
Consumer right of withdrawal: if you are a consumer (not purchasing on behalf of a business) and enrol online, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under Dutch consumer law (Burgerlijk Wetboek art. 6:230o), unless the course has already started within that period.
5. Cancellation by Hanyu Peixun
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a lesson or course due to illness, force majeure, or insufficient enrolments. In such cases we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a reschedule or, where rescheduling is not possible, a refund for lessons not delivered.
6. Intellectual property
Course materials provided to students are for personal study use only. You may not reproduce, distribute or share materials with third parties without our written permission.
7. Limitation of liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of income or business opportunities, arising from participation in our courses or from information on this website. Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific course to which the claim relates. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
8. Website content
The information on this website is provided for general guidance about our courses. We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any information. Use of the website is at your own risk.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will in the first instance be addressed through direct contact. If we cannot resolve a dispute amicably, it will be submitted to the competent Dutch court. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions. The current version is always published on this page. The version in force at the time of your enrolment applies to your course contract.
